The universe speaks in many ways, but only with one voice. Its language is not among the thousands of Human dialects, nor the chem-speak of the Hive, nor the psionic transmissions of the Elodi.
It speaks in the language of hope.
It speaks in the language of strength.
It speaks in the language of compassion.
It is the language of the body.
It is the language of the soul.
But always, it is the same voice.
It is the voice of the generations who came before, speaking through us, and the voice of our successors.
It is the quietest whisper that says, “We are of one spirit.”
No matter the circulatory fluid.
No matter the dermal tissue or exoskeleton.
No matter the culture or nation.
No matter the world or habitat.
No matter the star or cosmic primary.
We are of one spirit.
No matter the burdens.
No matter the loss.
No matter the pain.
No matter the distrust.
No matter the hostility.
We are of one spirit.
If we consider these truths, we begin to realize a singular rule:
We must be kind to one another.
Each voice enriches us.
Each voice ennobles us.
Each voice diminishes us, once lost.
We each carry the spark of creation.
We each carry the universal voice.
We each carry the light that leads us forward.
